Well, not exactly unknown, but still many people might not know this. Master Sword is known throughout the game series by various names. There are people who don’t even call it by its real name. they just usually refer to it as the legendary sword or something like that. It has also been called the Sword of Resurrection and the Blade of Evil’s Bane. But the best term of all is the Master Sword! Nothing can beat that, to be very honest.

Zelda sword made its appearance in A Link to the Past for the very first time. With the frequency at which it is shown, it is likely that one might think it was with Link since the first game. But no! the very first mention of this Zelda sword was in Link to the Past.

As Link is one of the most popular characters of the game, even people who haven’t or don’t play the game will be able to recognize him. Other than his appearance, the next thing that distinguishes Link from others is the sword. you will find the Master Sword always next to him. Even in the fighting game appearances, the sword is with him. Smash Bros series and Soul Caliber II, it can be seen that Link has his trusty sword with him. Don’t you think it would be weird if Link was without his sword anywhere? We think so too!

However, in Breath of the Wild, the best game in the Zelda series, flimsiness has been added to the Master Sword. Hence, one needs to be careful when using this sword in the game. Durability and resistance have become the key in how and when the Master Sword is to be used. Quite interesting, yet daunting for the fans!
