The beauty and artistry of this pocket knife rivals no other as quality materials all come together in one amazing blade. Damascus steel is known the world over for their distinct pattern blades and astounding strength. This blade here comes in a sheeps foot style in a Twist pattern. It was forged with 176 blade layers and tempered at around 54 to 55. The repeated process of hammering and heating billets together, then stretching and forge welding it back into itself. This process creates all sorts of lovely designs depending on the Artisan. File work adorns the spine and runs all the down to the end of the handle. The interior wall of the brass frame and liner lock also features custom file work. All four bolsters are made from copper with a silver finish and floral artwork. The center handle slabs are made from polished horn. In the middle on each side is a decorative mosaic pin. The sheath that is included is a hand sewn and made of real leather. A snap closure adorns the front with a belt loop on the back and to top it all there is a stag pictured on the front with a lovely tooled basket weave design.
