This ravishing knife blade is made from Damascus steel that comes in a drop point style and twist pattern. It was forged with 176 blade layers and tempered at around 54 to 55. The repeated process of hammering and heating billets together, then stretching and forge welding it back into itself. This process creates all sorts of lovely designs depending on the Artisan. At the top of the blade near the spine a thumb notch is provided for opening with ease. The spine and frame sports lovely hand chiseled file work that accents the handle and blade nicely. The handle is double wall reinforce and houses the liner locking mechanism to lock the blade in place. The handle is made from copper with a solver and free handed floral art work on each side. The center sports a decorative mosaic pin that is featured on both sides. This piece is truly unique and no two are exactly alike. The sheath that is included is a hand sewn and made of real leather. A snap closure adorns the front with a belt loop on the back and to top it all there is a stag pictured on the front with a lovely tooled basket weave design.
