Getting Better with Military Daggers

A dagger is strictly defined as a weapon with a sharp point and cutting-edge, a short blade, which is specifically designed for stabbing. The word dagger is used in general; however, several historical types that daggers have are poniard, stiletto, dirk, misericord, anlance, athame and athane. The only thing common in all these types is their use as a knife meant for stabbing.
However, the most recent definition of a dagger is that it is a double-edged blade with an isometric relationship with the axis. It can simply be stated that the daggers are symmetrical double-edged blades that come along with symmetrical handles as well.
