WHAT IS A BODY ARMOR?

Body Armor is the protective clothing worn to provide shield against any physical attacks. It is one of the most common safety equipment used for many years. Body armor is the bulletproof vest designed to cover the chest area from any dangerous object. Initially it has been used by military soldiers during war or when they went out for hunting. But now Body Armors are designed differently for different uses such as for police, security guards and athletes.

HOW DOES A BODY ARMOR WORK?

Body Armor is mainly used for defensive purposes. After the 1960s the engineers designed Armors in such a way that it protects against high projectile gun shots. There are mainly two types of Body Armor: REGULAR NON-PLATED BODY ARMOR: These are used for moderate to substantial protection. HARD PLATE BODY ARMOR: It provides maximum protection used on the battlefield. This is made up of thick ceramic or metal plates.

WHAT FABRIC IS USED IN BODY ARMOR?

During manufacturing body armors the aim is to use lighter and stronger material to accompany good quality. For soft body armor, a number of ballistic panels’ uses consist of extraordinarily strong fibers. Combination of woven and non-woven fabric is effective at stopping bullets from dispersing across the panel.

WHAT MAKES THE BODY ARMOR NON-FUNCTIONAL?

If your vest got wet, it would get non-functional. For any accidental condition or somehow you fall into the pond or swimming pool, your soft armor is going to get wet. It is not good because water can make it easier for a bullet to get through the vest. So try to keep your vest dry.
