For ease of maintenance, the head of the axe can be removed. Stamped on the head is the word "Killer" in green ink. It comes with an Allen key tool. Removing the axe head is often preferred for a professional edge and sharpening. After a good sharpening session, this axe will be as sharp as a razor and holds its edge extremely well.
