The trail point blade is Stainless Steel and features a very sharp edge. The electroplating is to protect and prolong the life of the blade. The full tang handle is wrapped in an olive drab nylon braided cording to create a comfortable and firm hold. You can also untie the cord and customize the braid yourself.
