This full tang samurai katana is hand crafted by talented artisans from 1045 high carbon steel. The blade has a beautifully polished finish with a wave hamon, deep bohi and razor-sharp edge. The wooden handle is covered in real black stingray skin and wrapped with a black polyester ito in a traditional Japanese style. A gold dragon made from zinc alloy peeks out from under the ito, and the full tang of the blade is affixed to the handle with visible bamboo pegs. Zinc alloy is also used to create the dainty round Tsuba with a floral pattern in a gold and pewter finish, as well as other fittings that adorn this beautiful piece. The ornate pommel has a sturdy ring attached so you can connect a tassel or other accessory. Included with this functional collector’s piece is a matching scabbard that features a black lacquer finish and embellished with pewter and gold decorations. A black dust cover is also included to keep your sword safe and protected from the elements when not in use.
