The Gaelic Sgain Dubhs has been around for centuries and it is worn as part of a traditional Scottish Highland dress along with the kilt. It is worn tucked into the top of the kilt hose with only the upper portion of the hilt visible. The sgian-dubh is normally worn on the right leg, but can also be worn on the left, depending on whether the wearer is right or left-handed. We are offing a very historical piece at an affordable price. Our Sgain Dubh features a thick handle constructed of cast metal with a brush finish. A Celtic knot work design is featured with a blue gem stone on the end to give this piece an authentic look. The 440 stainless steel drop point polish blade is seen with a small design serration on the spine and sports a very pointed tip and sharp blade. This beautiful piece fits snuggly into an ABS black sheath with an infinity symbol of the end. This piece looks great on a desk to use as a letter opener or the finishing touch for a great collection.
