The Petersen type S style hilt was introduced in the 10 century. It would most commonly be owned be a Jarl, Viking Chief, or other wealthy Vikings. This sword is made from polyurethane foam with a 10 mm inner core. The golden pommel and guard feature Jelling style inlay with an antiqued finish to simulate age. The ribbed grip has been painted red with a black base coat.
