This hand forged spear head is composed of Damascus steel, which is well known for not only for its intriguing design, but also for its amazing ability to hold a sharp edge while still staying hard and flexible. It has between 280-350 layers, an HRC of 58-60, and is made from incredible 1095/15N20 steel that has been formed into a traditional lance design. This long spearhead features an overall length of 15.45-inches and a 10.38-inch double- edged blade with a standard sharpening. Level up your historical costume and be the star of your next reenactment with this beautiful and functional spear head. The 4.25-inch shaft has a 1.02-inch opening to mount your spear head to any wooden handle of your choosing. A pre-drilled hole in the shaft helps assist with mounting the spear head to the handle. This spear head comes well oiled – and it is recommended to polish with a mineral oil from time to time to prevent rusting or corrosion.
