Traditional skinners are made generally with bone, horn, or wood handles. They need to be smaller than say a survival knife because you do not need the extra bulk when you are out hunting especially if you are sitting up in a deer stand. This knife has all the characteristics you need in a quality skinner. A wide belly for slicing, can be sharpened easily, and resists corrosion. It is constructed of J2 420 stainless steel which is known for being highly corrosion resistant steel. The handle features stained bone with brass pins and spacers with a steel bolster. The Traditional Avalon All Purpose Skinning Knife was built for long lasting durability with a thick 6mm blade and full tang construction. Just above the guard is a finger groove for added support for a firm grip when cutting with precision. A brass pipe creates a lanyard hole for tying this knife to a pack. Included is a tooled leather sheath with belt loop.
